OriginForge Connect is free to play. Membership and advertising are optional extras, paid in pounds sterling. Payments open soon after launch; until then nothing can be bought and nothing is charged.

Membership

Everything that's free, plus:

- Change your look any time
- Members' quests, and every Business School lesson
- Duels and the 30 combat spells on Combat Island (18 and over)
- Allotments beyond Farming level 5
- Book the Arena's screens (paid separately, below)
How membership works
- £5 a month, taken when you join and then every month on the same date until you cancel.
- Cancel any time. You keep membership until the end of the month you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- When membership ends, nothing is taken away. Your house, furniture, design, TVs' content, skills and XP all stay exactly as they were. The extra perks pause until you rejoin.
- Membership never gives coins, and coins can't buy membership.
Advertising in the game
Players and businesses can put an advert on a screen or billboard in the game. An advert shows a title, a short line about it, a colour and a link (https), or one of your profile projects. It's labelled "an advert by" and your player name, and its link opens only after the game's "Leaving Town" warning.

- Each booking is a one-off payment for a fixed number of days. It doesn't renew. When it ends, the screen frees up for the next person.
- An advert gives visibility in the game. We don't promise any number of views, visits, clicks or sales.
- Adverts must follow the advert rules: nothing misleading, offensive, sexual, hateful, illegal or pretending to be OriginForge. We can remove an advert that breaks them.
Coins, and what we don't sell
- Coins are earned only by playing: quests, skills, daily rewards and selling what you gather or make.
- Coins can't be bought with real money, sold, swapped for money, given to other players, or cashed out. They have no value outside the game.
- There are no loot boxes, no gambling and no paid games of chance. Nothing you pay for has a random result.
Paying
- Payments are handled by Stripe or Dodo Payments, depending on where you live. We never see or store your card details.
- Prices are in pounds sterling. Any VAT or sales tax due where you live is shown at checkout, before you pay. Your bank may convert the price into your own currency.
